Record Sales of New iPhone Questionable

Renowned Piper Jaffray analyst , Gene Munster , questioning related news sales record for Apple's latest phone , the iPhone 5S and 5C iPhone .

According to Munster , as quoted by Business Insider , Wednesday ( 09/25/2013 ) , sales of both phones was supposed to have reached 9 million units , such as what is claimed by Apple .

The results of calculations performed by Munster showed different results . According to him , the number of iPhone iPhone 5S and 5C are sold to the consumer should touch the figure of 5.5 million new units .

Meanwhile, the rest of the 3.5 million units which is claimed by Apple is the actual new iPhone 5C sold as " channel fill" .

The purpose of the " channel fill" this is the new 5C iPhone devices sold to the operators , retailers , and stores , yet to reach the consumer .

For example , a store bought 10 iPhone 5C . Party stores have managed to sell 5 units of the device . For this case , Apple will not be recorded sales of 5 units , 10 units of the device but they had sold the " channel fill " to the store .

Unfortunately , the accuracy of the information provided by the Munster still has not been proven . He said , getting 3.5 million iPhone related data from a source 5C . Not mentioned who the source is .

Apple itself has not given any comments related to the results of the calculations of this Munster .

iPhone 5S sold out , not getting a response 5C iPhone

In previous years , Apple and the operators are able to sell out all the stock iPhone in its inaugural sale . However , these achievements did not work them again this year .

According to Munster , Apple's iPhone has sold out 5S , but they can not get the same results from the iPhone 5C .

This year , Apple released two new iPhone series , the iPhone 5S and 5C iPhone . iPhone 5S series is the successor of the iPhone 5 . Meanwhile, the iPhone 5C is a series that replaces the iPhone 5 . 5C iPhone actually is last year's model which comes with a " skin " and a new name . Hence , the consumers prefer to not overly hunt 5C iPhone , but the iPhone 5S with newer technology .
